The Singles Tournament to kick off the new season of The Bangkok Pool League will be on April 18th at Hustlers.
I will be at Hustlers all day for it and I will begin returning the playing deposits to those venues that will not be playing in the Spring 2015 season, so please see me there for it to avoid my having to track you down.
I will bring everyone up to speed on where we currently stand regarding the Asia Expat Pool Challenge.
The Bangkok Pool League 2015 season will start in April with a 9-ball singles tournament on April 18 at Hustlers.
We will give away lots of door prizes as well as the trophies for 9-ball and 10-ball from last season.
The Monday league (8-ball) will start on 20 April. Please let us know if you are placing a team in this league.
The Wednesday 9-ball league will start on 22 April. Please let us know if you are placing a team in this division.
Also on Wednesday will be a single division 10-ball league.
This will be a handicapped league and will be a prize money league.
All teams participating must have a 9-foot table as their home table.
Please let us know if you wish to play in this league.
The season will end with a singles tournament (8-ball) at Sports Academy.
The Bangkok Pool League will start up again following the Songkran holiday. We will start by having an individual tournament at which time we will also hold a Captain’s meeting and give out the 9-ball and 10-ball trophies from last season.
Currently, we plan to have the following:
8-ball will be on Mondays and will be a new flexible format of single games/matches allowing for Captains to make some choices depending on the number of players they have and how those players prefer to play.
9-ball will be on Wednesday and will continue as a mix of singles and doubles games.
We will have one division of 10-ball on Wednesdays. It will be a handicapped division, allowing for top-level teams and lower teams to be competitive. We believe this will help to allow some of the teams a chance to see other venues since scheduling will be more flexible. If this works out, it may be expanded in the future.
Teams or players not currently playing in the mini-leagues and interested in sine games during the next few months, contact Al who is working up a series of friendlies.
